The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) announced a tender on sale of profit oil cargo from the Georgian Black Sea port of Batumi. The SOCAR told Trend that the tender was announced for sale of 80,000 tons of oil (600,000 barrels) of Azeri Light, produced from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli. The delivery from Batumi is scheduled for 2324 August.

The Batumi oil terminal is capable to handle up to 15 million tons of bulk oil cargo a year. The terminal services tankers of 30,000-90,000 tons deadweight on four berths including a special buoy for the vessels of the Aframax class. At the moment the terminals tank park capacity is about 530,000 tons, which is more than enough for handling of current and forecasted cargoes going through the corridor.
