In August 2006 State Oil Company of Azerbaijan achieved the increase of daily gas production of 2.7mln m3, Trend reports with reference to press service of SOCAR this increase was accomplished due to the measures taken at cost of SOCARs own potential at Guneshli field. The amount of increase in September is forecasted to be 3.5mln m3 of gas a day.
To raise the oil production the geotechnical operations are performed for optimal work of the wells production fund and restoration of wells in idle fund.
During January-August 2006 PA Azneft performed 133 repair operations at idle wells, which resulted in production of additional 271ton of oil. As a result of 559 geological operations additional 224420 ton of oil have been produced.
