Azerbaijan Gas Processing Plant Announced Increase in Gas Processing in 2006
Azerbaijan Gas Emali (Azerbaijan Gas Processing Plant) processed 2,845 bln. cubic meters in 2006 versus 2,782 bln. cubic meters processed in 2005, a source in the Enterprise informed Trend. During the reporting period, the Plant significantly increased the gas processing by 2,2% (0,063 mln. cubic meters). The source in the Plant also said that 271,5 mln. cubic meters were processed in the Plant in December, 2006. The first line of the Azerbaijan Gas Processing was put into commission in 1961. New lines for gas processing were put into use. The technology envisaged by the project allows receiving liquefied gas, kerosene fraction, heavy condensate, and natural gasoline. At first the Plant received gas and gas condensate produced from Garadagh Field. Then, the Enterprise turned to associated and natural gas produced from Azerbaijan offshore oil and gas.
