The State oil Company of Azerbaijan set up a new program on increase of gas production. The drilling was commenced from Guneshli 8 platform located in Shallow Water Guneshli field. The depth of the well is 2,600 meters, Trend reports. SOCAR informed Trend, that this year the units intend to drill 4 gas wells on Guneshli field from platform 8, 7 gas wells on platform 13, 4 gas wells on platforms 14, 2 gas wells on platform 19, 2 gas wells on platform 15, 2 gas wells on platform 3 and 2 gas wells on platform 11. In 2007 this program will enable to increase gas production by SOCAR to 5bln cum of gas. In 2008 the gas handing will be raised to 8bln cu m.
