The total volume of deposits reached 21.99 billion manats in Azerbaijan in January 2019, which is 5.4 percent more than in the same period of 2018, Trend reports referring to the data of the Azerbaijani Central Bank on March 11.
In particular, the volume of deposits of non-financial organizations increased by 7.03 percent and reached 12.23 billion manats in January 2019 compared to January 2018 (11.43 billion manats).
The total volume of deposits of legal entities in January 2019 reached 12.36 billion manats.
As for individuals, there is also an increase in the total volume of deposits. The volume increased by 7.72 percent and reached 8.08 billion manats.
As of January 2019, the total volume of deposits in foreign currency reached 14.61 billion manats (66.5 percent of all deposits), which is 4.94 percent less than in the same period of 2018.
There is also a great increase in deposits in national currency. The volume increased by 34.13 percent and reached 7.37 billion manats in January 2019 compared to January 2018.
