Turkmenistan shares data on transactions in national currency in State Exchange

Transactions in the national currency worth more than 102.5 million Turkmen manat ($29.4 million) were registered on Turkmenistan’s State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange in May 2021, Trend reports.

In the first week of May, transactions in the national currency for 72.7 million Turkmen manat ($20.9 million) were registered on the exchange, while in the second week the amount was 7.7 million manat ($2.2 million)

During the third week of May, transactions in the national currency in the amount of 12.5 million Turkmen manat ($3.6 million) were concluded on the country's exchange.

In the fourth week of the month, this figure amounted to 9.5 million manat ($2.7 million).

Transactions in foreign currency were also made on the exchange of Turkmenistan during the specified period.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
