The balance of bank loans in Iran increased by 44.3 percent over the last Iranian year (from March 20, 202 through March 20, 2021), compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through March 19, 2020), Trend reports referring to the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).
According to the report, the balance of bank loans amounted to 27.9 quadrillion rials (about $665 billion) in the last Iranian year.
The balance of deposits also increased by 42.7 percent within the last Iranian year compared to the preceding Iranian year. So, the balance of bank deposits in Iran amounted to 11.6 quadrillion rials (about $275 billion) last Iranian year.
