Iran talks details of cash circulation across country

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 21. In general, about 851 trillion rials (about $20.2 billion) was circulating in Iran, during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through January 20, 2022), Trend reports via the report of Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the report, this is an increase of 16.9 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Of the mentioned amount, 737 trillion rials (about $17.5 billion) was circulating among citizens. This is an increase of 14.8 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“Meanwhile, 100 trillion rials (about $2.38 billion) was in circulation in the banking network of the country for 10 months, which is an increase of 24.1 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the report said.

In addition, the amount of national currency available in the Central Bank of Iran for 10 months amounted to 13.4 trillion rials (about $319 million). This is an increase of 8.1 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
