BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 23. Azerbaijan's consolidated budget revenues amounted to 42.289 billion manat ($24.88 billion) in 2022, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijani Finance Ministry.
This figure grew by 5.5 billion manat ($3.2 billion) or 15 percent compared to the forecast. When compared to 2021, the growth amounted to 24.7 percent or 8.385 billion manat ($4.9 billion).
According to the ministry, 35.06 billion manat ($20.6 billion) accounted for the expenditures of Azerbaijan's 2022 consolidated budget.
The consolidated budget showed a surplus of 7.228 billion manat ($4.25 billion) in 2022, which was 6.108 billion manat ($3.59 billion), or 6.5 times more than predicted.
Furthermore, consolidated budget income for 2023 is projected at 32.939 billion manat ($19.38 billion), while budget expenditures are to reach 37.883 billion manat ($22.29 billion) in 2023.
Meanwhile, the consolidated budget deficit of 4.943 billion manat ($2.9 billion) is forecasted for the reporting year.
