BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 20. Local Iranian banks granted loans worth about 2.35 quadrillion rials (about $55.8 billion) in trade sector of the country in the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2023), Trend reports.
Data of Iran's Central Bank shows that the following loans were allocated in the trade sector:
- Working capital: 2.05 quadrillion rials (about $48.8 billion);
- Development work: approximately 131 trillion rials (about $3.12 billion);
- Establishment of enterprises: 121 trillion rials (about $2.87 billion);
- Purchase of housing: 25 trillion rials ($596 million);
- Purchase of personal assets: 11.4 trillion rials ($272 million);
- Self-employment: 4.2 trillion rials (about $100 million);
- Repair work: 3.8 trillion rials ($90.3 million).
In total, the Iranian banks issued loans worth about 23.7 quadrillion rials (about $564 billion) in various economic sectors within the first 7 months of the current Iranian year.
