The localization of an operating system (OS) Microsoft Windows 7 and Office applications Microsoft Office 2010 is expected to end in the first half of 2010, head of Microsoft Azerbaijan, Teymur Akhundov told Trend .
Localization provides the development of mui-files in the Azerbaijani language, Akhundov said. In contrast to the localization of Windows XP and Vista, previously created glossary will not undergo significant changes, Akhundov added.
SINAM realizes this project. Earlier, SINAM localized Windows Vista operating system and office package of Microsoft Office 2007. Localization project was consisted of two parts: establishment of localization, which required creating a glossary and submitting it for public discussion. SINAM involved linguists, government officials and the public in development of a glossary, along with experts from Microsoft.
Final version of Windows 7 should appear in October 2009. However, Office 2010 will be available in the first half of 2010.
