All Turkish satellites launched into orbit have been produced domestically, Turkish Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Nihat Ergun said, Sabah newspaper reported on Nov. 30.
According to the minister, over 80 per cent of parts of Turkish satellites, launched into orbit were produced by domestic enterprises.
Ergun also said Turkey launched six satellites in 11 years.
Earlier, the minister said that Turkey is preparing a ten-year investment program for development of the domestic satellite technologies.
According to Ergun, today Turkey's top priority is to create a system for satellite launches.
On December 18, 2012, Turkey launched Gokturk-2 satellite from the Chinese Zhiuguan base. The satellite is used for defence purposes.
