The number of users of the Facebook social network in Azerbaijan exceeded 4.1 million as of December 31, 2020, which amounted to 18.3 percent, Trend reports referring to the Internet World Stats (IWS) marketing group's release.
According to the release, the penetration rate of the Facebook network among users in the country made up nearly 40.9 percent.
The release also noted that the most active social network in Azerbaijan was Instagram.
"The number of of this social network's local users has reached 3.5 million people, with 34.3 percent accounting for women and 65.75 percent – for men," the source said.
Furthermore, the number of the Twitter social network’s local users has reached 212,000 people.
"In 2020, this figure grew by 18,000 people compared to 2019, with 23.7 percent of Twitter users accounting for women and 76.3 percent - for men," the release pointed out.
Besides, 460,000 Azerbaijanis used the LinkedIn platform.
"Of the total number of LinkedIn users, 36.3 percent accounted for women and 63.75 percent - for men," summed up the marketing group.
