Azerbaijan is interested in the expansion of relationships with Israel in the sphere of information technologies, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies told Trend. The preparations for the forthcoming visit of Ali Abbasov, the Azerbaijani Minister for Communications and Information Technologies, to Israel in 2006 and possible visit of Israeli Minister for Communications, Dalii Itsik to Azerbaijan.
“At present the date of the visits is under definition,” the same source said. So far, Azerbaijan has not signed any agreement with the Israel on the information technologies sector.
“A memorandum on mutual understanding in the communications sector can be signed with Israel in 2006,” the Communications Ministry said.
