Communication of Samukh to be electronized by end of 2006

By the end of 2006, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan is planning to complete the electronization of the telephone network of Samukh and connect it to the fiber-optical cable. For this purpose, a relevant tender has already been held in Telecommunicational network, Trend reports with reference to the same ministry.

After electronization of communication, news opportunities will be created in rural communication because all buildings of ATE will be overhauled. In addition, electronic ATE will be installed in Laki and Burungovag villages to give an opportunity to get qualitative communication service, particularly internet services. By the end of year, it is planned to raise the capacity of Samukh telecommunicational network to 7440 numbers which provide installation of telephones for 36 villages.

At present, 14 ATS function in 3 settlements, 11 villages in Samukh. 6 out of them are electronic and 8 type of analog. Assembly capacity of electronic ATE is 2768 numbers and analog 5418.
