The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan hold negotiations with the experts of the USA, Asia and Europe for providing consultations regarding creation of a special economic zone for development of high technologies in Azerbaijan, Trend has been told at the same Ministry.
The Ministry considers expedient to create a group from international experts that carries out works on the intended tenders, which earlier was announced, but wasnt held due to the participation of only two companies alliance Ernst & Young and Salans and American Angel.
The ministry hopes to make the final decision on this issue during the exhibition and conference on telecommunications and information technologies BakuTel2006 where additional consultations will be held, the same source told.
Besides, the International Association of Scientific Parks that includes Azerbaijan expressed readiness to present its experts for this measure.
According to the tender, the analysis of the sector of high technologies in Azerbaijan should be held and the expedient of creating a special zone in the country should be defined.
