A total of 17,602 passenger cars were manufactured in Kazakhstan from January through March 2021, which is 5.7 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
In turn, passenger car production in March alone amounted to 6,029 cars, which also is 9.3 percent more than in Mar. 2020.
The number of cargo vehicles manufactured in Kazakhstan during the reporting period stood at 1,641 vehicles (616 in Mar.), of specialized vehicles at 56 units (37 in Mar.).
Furthermore, the number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured in Mar. 2021 amounted to 66, which is 22.2 percent more than during Mar. 2020. The number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured over the reporting period stood at 200 vehicles, which is 3.8 percent less than during the same period of last year.
In turn, spare parts for vehicle output amounted to 20,197 during two months and 11,613 in Mar. 2021, which is 0.2 percent and 29.5 percent more respectively than during the same period of 2020.
Eight diesel locomotives were also manufactured in Kazakhstan over three months of 2020.
