Iran’s PMO records decrease in loading/unloading activity at Jask Port

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Jan. 10

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Jask port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) decreased by 17.6 percent in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 23 through December 21, 2021), compared to the 8th month (October 23 through November 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 18,900 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port in the ninth month.

So, 14,500 tons of cargo were exported and 4,470 tons were imported through the Jask port over the 9th month.

“About 14,500 tons of essential products and 4,470 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in the Jask port in the 9th month of the current Iranian year,” the statistics said.

About 11.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the ninth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.28 million tons were loaded and 5.64 million tons were unloaded.

This is an increase of 8.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
