Turkmenistan's Transport and Logistics Center (TULM) is assisting Turkey in sending 750 tons of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, Trend reports referring to Business Turkmenistan portal.
The humanitarian aid train, which left Ankara, Turkey, on January 27, is expected to arrive in the destination in 16 days, covering a distance of 4,200 kilometers.
The train of 47 wagons contains food, clothing, blankets, and medical supplies collected by 11 charities working under the coordination of the Turkey Ministry of Interior Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency.
Last October, TULM assisted the UN World Food Program in transporting 3,500 tons of flour destined for Afghanistan by rail through Turkmenistan.
Recently, TULM also facilitated the implementation of a project for express trains of containerized cargo from Turkey to Uzbekistan through Turkmenistan.
Founded in July 2018, TULM offers a wide range of transport and logistics services to local and international partners, planning and accompanying transit by air, rail, road, and sea.
