The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 102 percent in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (December 22, 2021, through January 20, 2022), compared to the 9th month (November 22 through December 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, about 11.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port in the 10th month. Of this, about 8.64 million tons were loaded and 2.82 million tons were unloaded.
Meanwhile, in the 9th month, a total of 5.64 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded at Iran’s Shahid Rajaee port.
About 8.2 million tons of cargo were exported, while about 782,000 tons were imported through the Shahid Rajaee port over the 10th month.
Also, 200,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 308,000 tons were unloaded in the port for transit for the reporting month.
According to the statistics, 117,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 1.57 million tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage during the 10th month.
In the 10th month, 117,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 124,000 tons were unloaded in this port for transshipment.
At the same time, 2,830 tons of cargo were loaded, and 32,000 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes.
Thus, about 202,000 tons of essential products, 452,000 tons of metal products, 659,000 tons of construction and mining materials, 3,880 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Rajaee port in the 10th month of the current Iranian year.
Moreover, 86,600 tons of chemicals, 8,280 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 29,400 tons of small and assorted products, 1.6 million tons of container products, 8.41 million tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.
About 17.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 10th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 11.9 million tons were loaded and 6.03 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 42 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
