BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 22. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Jask port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 50 percent in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 23 through August 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, more than 38,900 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port in the 5th month.

Of this, 29,700 tons of cargo were exported and 9,260 tons were imported through the Jask port over the 5th month.

“Some 29,800 tons of essential products and 9,130 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in the Jask port in the 5th month of the current Iranian year,” the statistics said.

In general, about 12.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 5th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, about 6.4 million tons were loaded and about 6.1 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
