BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 27. National Company (NC) Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC (Kazakhstan Railways) and Georgian Railway LLC have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Trend reports citing the Kazakh government.

The document has been signed following the meeting between Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov and Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili, paying an official visit to Kazakhstan.

As Garibashvili noted, Kazakhstan and Georgia have great potential for expanding cooperation in various areas, including food security, cargo traffic.

"Trade, investment, and business cooperation are dynamically developing between the two countries. There are lots of examples of successful collaboration as part of joint projects. Meanwhile, considering new opportunities and mutually beneficial directions are necessary to develop the economies of both countries," Garibashvili said.
