BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 1. Kazakhstan's Aktobe has registered the lowest inflation rate countrywide in June 2023, Trend reports.
As evident from the data of the Bureau of National Statistics of the country, the region's inflation rate in the reporting period of 2023 stood at 0.1 percent.
Meanwhile, among the regions, the highest monthly inflation was registered in the North Kazakhstan and Mangistau regions - 0.9 percent each (above the national average by 0.4 percentage points). At the same time the consumer price index for the month in Shymkent was 100 percent.
In June 2023, the monthly consumer price index in Kazakhstan slowed down and amounted to 0.5 percent (0.6 percent in May this year). Prices for non-food products increased by 0.7 percent, paid services - by 0.6 percent, food products - by 0.2 percent.
Prices for food products increased the most in the Ulytau region by 1.3 percent, non-food products - in Astana by 1.3 percent, paid services - in the North Kazakhstan region - by 1.4 percent.
