BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 1. Remittance inflows from the US to Kyrgyzstan increased in July 2022, Trend reports with reference to the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the bank, money transfers from the US to Kyrgyzstan in July this year increased by 74.1 percent over the same month in 2021 ($3.1 million) - up to $5.4 million.

Overall, money transfers to Kyrgyzstan in the reporting month amounted to $270.6 million, which is an increase of 12 percent compared to July 2021 ($241.5 million).

As reported, in July this year, the bulk of remittances to Kyrgyzstan came from Russia ($259 million).

Meanwhile, the total volume of money transfers to Kyrgyzstan from January through July 2022 amounted to $1.6 billion.
