BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 9. Kyrgyzstan produced 134.3 million eggs from January through March 2023, which is an increase of 26 percent compared to the same period of 2022 (106 million eggs), Trend reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

During the period under review, the largest number of eggs were produced in the Chuy region of Kyrgyzstan. The region’s farmers produced 100.3 million eggs. The production grew by over 40 percent compared to 1Q2022 (71.6 million eggs).

The Jalal-Abad region ranked second with 10.7 million eggs produced in the region in 1Q2023, which is 6 percent more than 10.1 million eggs in the corresponding months of 2022.

In the Osh region, the farmers produced 10.3 million eggs from January through March 2023. The figure increased by 4 percent over 9.8 million eggs in the same period of 2022.

At the same time, 6.2 million eggs were produced in the Issyk-Kul region, 3.6 million of eggs in the Talas region, 1.9 million eggs in the Batken region, and 760,000 eggs in the Naryn region of Kyrgyzstan.

Additionally, 250,900 eggs were produced in Osh City, and 118,000 eggs in Bishkek City.

Meanwhile, a total of 607.8 million eggs were produced in Kyrgyzstan in 2022, which is an increase of 7.7 percent, compared to 2021 (564.1 million eggs).
