BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 30. Kyrgyzstan imported 2,222 tons of potatoes from January through June 2023, which is a 48 percent drop year-on-year, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistical Committee of the country, most of the imported potatoes came from Russia (884 tons for $330,500) and the Netherlands (616.3 tons at $345,600).

Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover reached $6.7 billion from January through June 2023, an increase of 31 percent compared to the first half of 2022 ($5.1 billion).
Kyrgyzstan's exports reached $1.306 billion, which is a rise of 34.6 percent over $970.5 million recorded in the first half of 2022. The country's imports amounted to $5.398 billion, up by 30.3 percent compared to the same months of the previous year ($4.142 billion).
