BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 1. Cooperation between Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan in the fuel and energy sector is set to reach a higher level in the near future, Trend reports.

Russian Gazprom's CEO, Alexey Miller, made this statement at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.

He emphasized that there is also potential for transit through the territories of these countries to other nations. However, a primary focus of cooperation with Russia is in meeting the needs of these Central Asian countries.

According to Miller, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan may sign a 15-year gas agreement in 2024. Negotiations, both past and ongoing at the forum, aim to facilitate the signing of relevant documents in the future.
