BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 21. The amount of transactions in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan last week exceeded $219.3 million, Trend reports with reference to Business Turkmenistan.
Businessmen from the UK, Afghanistan, Turkey, Switzerland, Scotland, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan purchased hydrotreated diesel fuel, gasoline, aviation kerosene and kerosene for lamps. Business representatives from the UAE, Turkey and Afghanistan purchased carbamide and ECO-93 gasoline.
At the same time, entrepreneurs from Turkey, Hong Kong, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan purchased jacquard terry products and cotton fabric.
Petroleum coke and polypropylene, as well as handmade carpets totaling more than 21 million Turkmen manats ($6 million) were purchased for the domestic market.
Furthermore, 86 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
