BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 27. Turkish Çalık Enerji company is building an ecological village with the use of technologies in renewable energy sources on Altyn Asyr Lake in Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
This was announced by the Vice General Manager of Çalık Enerji Gokmen Topuz at the forum on attracting investments in the energy sector of Turkmenistan held from April 26 through 27 in Dubai (UAE).
According to him, the village will be environmentally friendly agriculture with low carbon dioxide emissions, zero waste management, low water consumption due to recycling and filtration of water, as well as drought resistance.
Gokmen Topuz noted that an administrative building, police and fire service posts, retail outlets, a medical center, a school, a kindergarten, a hall for public events, residential buildings for 200 families, water treatment facilities (purification of lake water into drinking water), sewage pumping stations and filtration facilities, as well as facilities, will be built on the territory of the village connections.
Furthermore, he added that a hybrid power plant will be built in the village, which will work through the use of renewable energy sources.
Meanwhile, the project is located 264 kilometers from Ashgabat. After the construction is completed, the Altyn Asyr Lake will occupy an area of 2,000 square kilometers, and its maximum depth will be 70 meters. Filling the lake at full capacity can take up to 15 years, and its project is estimated at about $4.5 billion.
