BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 12. International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecasts daily oil production to Turkmenistan in 2023 at 0.18 million barrels per day, and gas production at 1.48 million barrels per day in oil equivalent, Trend reports with reference to IMF’s Regional Economic Outlook.
According to the IMF, daily oil production for 2024 in Turkmenistan is projected at 0.18 million barrels per day, and gas production at 1.5 million barrels per day in oil equivalent.
Furthermore, the IMF added that daily oil production in Turkmenistan in 2022, 2021, and 2020 amounted to 0.18 million barrels per day.
At the same time, daily gas production in Turkmenistan in 2022 amounted to 1.43 million barrels per day, in 2021 - 1.44 million barrels per day, and in 2020 -1.48 million barrels per day in oil equivalent.
Meanwhile, according to the Turkmen Turkmengaz State Concern, the country's hydrocarbon resources are estimated at more than 71 billion tons of oil equivalent, of which more than 20 billion tons of oil and more than 50 trillion cubic meters of natural gas.
