ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, August 28. The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan held auctions last week, at which it concluded contracts with foreign entrepreneurs for the export of oil and textile products totaling $26.1 million, Trend reports.
According to the exchange, entrepreneurs from the UK, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Georgia, and Uzbekistan purchased kerosene, polypropylene, and base oil produced at the technological installations of the Turkmennebit State Concern.
At the same time, representatives of business circles from Azerbaijan, China, the UAE, Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan purchased smooth-dyed and jacquard terry products, bedding sets, denim and flannel fabric, and cotton yarn of Turkmen production.
Turkmenistan's businessmen purchased petroleum road bitumen, polypropylene, and handmade carpets for the domestic market for a total of 31.8 million Turkmen manats ($9.07 million).
A total of 58 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
During the previous reporting period, the number of currency transactions on exchange in Turkmenistan exceeded $48.4 million.
