ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 4. Turkmenistan and the EU discussed the current comprehensive cooperation, Trend reports.
The issues were discussed during a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Ambassador of the EU to Turkmenistan Diego Ruiz Alonso, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the sides stressed the effective cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EU both in the bilateral format and within the framework of the 'Central Asia - EU' format.
In this context, the diplomats discussed the bilateral agenda of cooperation, as well as exchanged views on the prospects for strengthening partnership in priority vectors of interaction.
Furthermore, they noted the important role of regular joint events within the framework of the human rights dialogue, inter-parliamentary dialogue, meetings of the EU - Turkmenistan Joint Committee, and also discussed the implementation of joint educational and exchange projects and 'Erasmus+' programs, interaction in the field of ecology and 'green' transformation.
At the same time, the parties noted effective cooperation in the implementation of various regional programs.
Cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EU continues to develop, and both sides are making efforts to deepen their relations in various fields. This partnership has the potential to create stability and prosperity in the region and contributes to strengthening the world order based on legal norms and values.
