ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 11. The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan held auctions last week, where contracts with foreign entrepreneurs were concluded, for the export of products totaling $8.3 million, Trend reports.
The exchange data shows that entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan purchased polypropylene produced at the enterprises of the Turkmennebit State Concern for foreign currency.
In addition, sets of bed linen, cotton and denim fabric, Portland cement, cotton yarn and fiber, as well as regenerated fiber from textile waste were sold on the stock exchange for foreign currency to buyers from China, the UAE, Türkiye, Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan's businessmen bought polypropylene for the domestic market for a total of 4.8 million Turkmen manats ($1.3 million).
A total of 23 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
During the previous reporting period, the amount of currency transactions on exchange in Turkmenistan exceeded $70.5 million.
