Turkmenistan boosts trading raw materials on commodity exchanges

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 19. The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan held auctions last week, at which it concluded contracts with foreign entrepreneurs for the export of its products totaling $90 million, Trend reports.

The exchange's data show that entrepreneurs from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, the UAE, Singapore, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, and Switzerland purchased aviation kerosene, hydrotreated diesel fuel, low-sulfur heating oil, polypropylene, and liquefied gas produced at the enterprises of the Turkmennebit State Concern for foreign currency.

In addition, entrepreneurs from Azerbaijan, Türkiye, the UAE, Switzerland, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan purchased textile waste, dyed terry products in assortment, cotton fabric, regenerated fiber from textile waste, and bedding sets for foreign currency.

Meanwhile, Turkmenistan's businessmen purchased polypropylene and technical iodine for the domestic market for a total of 171.8 million Turkmen manats ($49.1 million).

A total of 43 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.

During the previous reporting period, the number of currency transactions on exchange in Turkmenistan exceeded $8.3 million.
