Foreign Minister appointed in Uzbekistan

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a decree to appoint Abdulaziz Kamilov as Foreign Minister, a source in the Uzbek government told Trend.
Before appointing as minister Abdulaziz Kamilov was First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic.
Abdulaziz Kamilov, born in 1947, a professional diplomat. From 1994 to 2003 Kamilov already led the Uzbek Foreign Ministry. From 2003 to 2010 he worked as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United States.
From 2010 he was First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic.
As previously reported, President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a decree to dismiss the country's Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Elyor Ganiev and appointed him as Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade Minister.
