The Central Bank of Uzbekistan (CBU) has introduced into circulation the coins made of precious metals and dedicated to the anniversary dates as well as important events, Sputnik reported.
The coins can be used as payment instruments at face value.
Each coin will have a certificate of authenticity with an identification number.
It is expected that in the future these measures will lead to interest in the Uzbek national currency by foreign investors and numismatists.
