Uzbekistan exported furniture worth more than $2 million to foreign countries, Trend reports referring to the State Statistic Committee.
As of September 1, 2020, Uzbekistan exported furniture products worth more than $2 million to foreign countries, which is $841,000 more than in the same period last year.
For eight months of this year, the largest share of exported furniture products fell on Kazakhstan ($763,900), Kyrgyzstan ($619,300), Tajikistan ($294,200) and Russia ($146,600).
From the published information it follows that most of their products are exported by furniture manufacturers from Tashkent (for $846,400) and Tashkent region ($470,500). This is followed by Andijan - $184,300, Namangan - $138,900 and Bukhara regions - $131,600.
Earlier it was reported from January through August 2020, Uzbekistan imported furniture for a total of $57.2 million, which is 29 percent more than in the same period in 2019.
The main volume of furniture imports came from South Korea - $26.6 million. China and Turkey sent furniture worth $8.6 million to Uzbekistan. Goods worth $4.1 million were imported from Russia to the country.
