UAE company considers investing in jewelry production in Uzbekistan

UAE Siroya Jewellers LLC plans to study the prospects for investment in jewelry production, as well as for the development of the precious metals industry in Uzbekistan, Trend reports referring to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Dubai.

With the assistance of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Dubai, a meeting was held via videoconference with representatives of Siroya Jewellers LLC, Rajesh Jin, and Chandraprakash Siroya.

The meeting from the Uzbek side was attended by the head of the representative office of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade (MIFT) in the UAE, Sarvar Khamidov, and the first deputy chairman of the Jewelry Industry Uzbekzargarsanoati Association, Nodir Mirakhmedov.

The parties discussed issues of attracting foreign investment, as well as technological innovations for the development of the precious metals industry in Uzbekistan.

Representatives of the MIFT and the Uzbekzargarsanoat Association provided foreign partners with detailed information on the aspects of their interest.

In addition, an agreement was reached on the visit of representatives of Siroya Jewellers LLC to Uzbekistan in the near future to study the prospects for investing in jewelry production in Uzbekistan.

Founded in 1992 Siroya Jewellers is one of the largest jewelry manufacturers in the UAE. The company's line of business also includes distributing coal and other minerals and ores.
