Uzbekistan exported textile products in the amount of $2,380.9 million from January through October 2021, which accounted for 19.1 percent of the total export volume, Trend reports citing the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
This figure increased by 56.3 percent compared to the same period last year.
From January through October 2021, Uzbekistan produced 522,000 tons of yarn.
The volume of yarn production during this period increased by 26.2 percent or 108,400 tons in comparison with the corresponding period of last year.
In the structure of the export of textile products, the main share belongs to cotton yarn (55.3 percent), as well as finished knitwear and garments (22.3 percent). The textile products have been exported to 64 countries around the world.
The largest share of textile exports falls on Russia ($736.7 million, or 30.9 percent) and China ($572.9 million, or 24.1 percent).
