The volume of mortgage loans issued in Uzbekistan in 2021 amounted to 9.8 trillion soums ($902.8 million),Trend reports referring to the Uzbek Central Bank.
This figure increased by 700 billion soums ($64.4 million) compared to 2020.
The mortgage loans were issued to more than 59,570 people in 2021.
At the same time, for the purchase of housing in the primary market was allocated 7.35 trillion soums ($677.1 million) and 2.44 trillion soums ($224.8 million) for the purchase of housing in the secondary market.
During this period, Tashkent, Samarkand and Andijan regions of the country became leaders in terms of mortgage loans issued.
