Uzbekistan and UNICEF signed a road map for 2022-2025, which includes joint activities to develop the country's healthcare system for a total of $102.5 million, Trend reports via the Uzbek Ministry of Healthcare.
The document was signed today by the Minister of Healthcare Behzod Musayev and the head of UNICEF in Uzbekistan Munir Mammadzade.
This document includes additional measures to develop the healthcare sector in the country. It consists of four directions.
The first direction is aimed at urgent tasks for further improvement of perinatal services in the country.
The second direction includes vaccinating children according to the national vaccination schedule, equipping existing sanitary facilities with modern equipment, thus improving immunization processes in the country.
The third area consists of measures aimed at improving the nutrition of mothers and children.
The last direction involves improving the quality of medical services for adolescents.
