The total volume of crop production in Uzbekistan in 2021 amounted to 151.1 trillion soums ($13.8 billion), or 103.1 percent compared to 2020, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
The share of crop production in the total volume of agricultural production amounted to 49.9 percent.
During the specified period, all categories of farms produced 7.5 million tons of grain crops, 10.8 million tons of vegetables, 3.2 million tons of potatoes, 2.2 million tons of melons, 2.8 million tons of fruits and berries, 1.6 million tons of grapes.
In 2021, agricultural production in Uzbekistan in value terms amounted to 302.5 trillion soums ($27.9 billion), which is an increase of 20.8 percent compared to 2020 (250.2 trillion soums or $23.1 billion).
According to the statistics committee, over the past 10 years, agricultural production has grown 6.6 times.
