BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 28. Uzbekistan has imported 404,100 tons of potatoes from 16 countries in the amount of $65.9 million from January through October 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
The volume of imports of potatoes increased by 14,700 tons compared to the corresponding period last year.
During this period, most of the potatoes were imported from Pakistan in the amount of 258,200 tons, followed by Kazakhstan (96,300 tons), Kyrgyzstan (16,800 tons), and Russia (15,000 tons).
Uzbekistan imported 560,000 tons of potatoes in 2021, which is an increase of 109,100 tons compared to 2020. In 2021, Uzbekistan imported potatoes in the amount of $72.8 million from 13 countries.
