BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 23. Russia supplied to Uzbekistan a batch of animal feed additives with a total weight of 20 tons in February 2023, Trend reports via Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor).
According to the Rosselkhoznadzor, since 2015, some 32 tons of seed potatoes, 80 tons of soybean seeds, 1,995 tons of wheat, 1,560 units of corrugated cardboard, as well as 4,833 cubic meters of timber were supplied to Uzbekistan from the territory of Russia’s Ulyanovsk region.
Besides the mentioned products Uzbekistan also imports milk from Russia. Uzbekistan imported some 20 tons of drinking ultra-pasteurized milk from Russia’s Udmurtia from January through December 2022.
Meanwhile, Russia was the largest foreign trade partner of Uzbekistan in January 2023. The trade turnover between the countries amounted to $688.4 million. This figure increased by 19.7 percent compared to the reporting period in 2022 – $574.9 million.
Russia’s imports from Uzbekistan in the reporting period made up $218.8 million, increasing by 20.1 percent over January 2022 ($182.1 million), while exports amounted to $469.6 million.
During the reporting period, Russia imported from Uzbekistan some 15,300 tons of fruit and vegetables worth $16.8 million, and textile products worth $102.7 million, etc.
