BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 24. In an effort to enhance bilateral ties and promote mutual development, several agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed between Uzbekistan and Singapore, Trend reports.
The documents were inked within the visit of President of Singapore Halimah Yacob to Uzbekistan.
These agreements aim to foster cooperation in various sectors, including tourism, entrepreneurship, and investment.
As such, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Singapore National Association of Travel Agents signed an agreement to collaborate on tourism-related initiatives. This partnership aims to promote cultural exchange, boost tourist flows, and develop joint tourism projects between the two nations.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Singapore Agency for Entrepreneurship Cooperation signed an agreement to facilitate joint activities in the field of entrepreneurship and the development of a "green" economy. This collaboration will focus on promoting sustainable business practices, sharing knowledge and expertise, and exploring opportunities for green investments.
The Investment Attraction Agency under the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Business Federation of Singapore signed a memorandum of cooperation to enhance investment ties. This collaboration aims to facilitate investment flows, foster business partnerships, and create a conducive environment for bilateral investment activities between Uzbekistan and Singapore.
These agreements and memoranda of understanding highlight the commitment of Uzbekistan and Singapore to deepen their cooperation in various sectors, paving the way for enhanced economic growth, cultural exchange, and sustainable development between the two nations.
