TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 6. Volume of trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Belarus has been on the steady rise, Trend reports.
As indicated in the data of Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, total trade turnover between Belarus and Uzbekistan in 2022 exceeded $530 million, which is 71 percent more than in 2021 ($301.9 million).
Statistics show gradual growth of trade turnover volumes between the countries in the last three years:
2020 - $225 million
2021 - $301.9 million
2022 - $530 million
Meanwhile, 188 enterprises with the participation of Belarusian capital are operating in Uzbekistan as of July 1 2023. Uzbekistan's overall trade turnover during the first quarter of 2023 amounted to $14.77 billion – an increase of 11.9 percent, compared to the same period last year ($13.20 billion).
