TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 21. Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover exceeded $50 billion from January through October of 2023, Trend reports.
As per data provided by Uzbekistan's State Statistics Committee, the recorded number reflects a 25.2 percent increase of $10.3 billion compared to the same period last year.
Exports accounted for 40.2 percent of overall international trade transaction, totaling $20.47 billion, a significant 29.1 percent rise. Meanwhile, imports accounted for 59.8 percent of total trade, totaling $30.5 billion, a 22.7 percent increase. By the conclusion of the eleventh month, the negative balance in foreign trade had reached $10 billion.
The leading contributors to this trade were China, accounting for $10.8 billion, followed by Russia at $7.9 billion, Kazakhstan at $3.6 billion, Türkiye at $2.6 billion, and the Republic of Korea at $1.8 billion.
