The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) has added 2367 points or 3.1 percent since the beginning of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20).

Over the past 21 trade days, more than 21.24 billion shares valued at $1.4 million (48.7 trillion rials) have changed hands at the TSE, Tasnim news agency reported.

The TSE over the past five weeks has been in a positive run. The automotive sector continued its post-sanctions recovery and sugars as well as IT were among the led gainers. But Telecommunications sector had a weak performance.

Meanwhile a group of observers suggest that the market over the past weeks has been switching from sector to sector as it has not chosen its top sectors yet.
