Kandovan Pars Muchan Lead and Sink Mine has been discovered in Muchan village in the Shazand county of Iran's Markazi Province, Governor of Iran's Markazi Province Ali Agazade said.
There are mainly metal and non-metallic mineral reserves in the Shazand county, Agazade added, Trend reports refering to ISNA.
Agazade added that Iran is among the biggest countries in terms of mining materials.
Kandovan Pars Muchan Lead and Sink Mine covering 7,000 square meters was explored through 80 billion rials (approximately $1.9 million), he said.
Moreover, 12,500 tons of mining materials are planned to be extracted a year. Twenty people have been already involved in extraction process and 50 people are expected to be involved in the future, he added.
