Iran has significantly reduced exports of dried fruits this Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), said Alireza Arzani Mamaghani, head of the Iran Dried Fruit Exporters Association, Trend reports via the Young Journalists Club (YJC).

He said that for the first time in the last 25 years, the production of dried fruits in Iran has significantly decreased, and this greatly affected exports.

“However, despite this, Iran still ranks first in the world in the production of dried fruits,” he noted.

Prices of dried fruits in the Iranian markets in anticipation of the Nowruz (Persian New Year) holiday are listed below:
